College Station's Office of Vital Statistics is proud to have been recognized as a Five-Star Award Winner for 2007 by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
This designation recognizes local registrar's offices that excel in reporting and documenting vital statistics such as birth and death records.
College Station was one of 51 other cities/counties in Texas to receive the designation.
"Herlinda Godinez, the city's Deputy Registrar for Vital Statistics is to be commended for her work in this area," said Connie Hooks, City Secretary for the City of College Station. "This is the first year we have received the recognition and Herlinda is to be given credit for her courteous, prompt, and efficient response to customer requests as well as the documentation and reporting of the information."
