Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison has a wish list she'll take to Washington in the upcoming legislative session.

Speaking to members of the Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce, the senator says on her agenda is transportation, higher education and an energy plan.

Hutchison is working on getting more money for Texas highways and more research dollars for universities.

Hutchison is also pushing less dependence on foreign oil and increased exploration here at home.

And of course, continued tax cuts.

"We are going to try to make the tax cuts permanent and try to give Texans more money in their pocketbooks so that we can continue to try to give people a better chance to earn more and keep more of what they earn," says Hutchison.

As for a possible run for the governorship, Hutchison says she's not even thinking about that right now.
