Texas Tech's masked rider may have bitten off more than he can chew.
The caped mascot was seen riding onto the field before the Oklahoma game with the horse's reins in his mouth. That particular hands-free stunt was banned by Texas Tech after a series of rider mishaps in the 90's.
One of those occurred in 1992 when the Red Raider horse ran over a referee. Two years later, the horse died during pregame ceremonies when it panicked and ran into a concrete wall.
A university committee is set to meet next week to decide what action to take.
