Thursday, jurors gave a College Station man the maximum sentence for running his wife off the road with his car.
Neal Proctor was found guilty of deadly conduct and sentenced to a year in the Brazos County Jail, a lesser offense than originally charged.
Proctor's wife testified in her husband's defense.
She told jurors she didn't notice her husband collided with the car she and a friend were driving in 2003.
The friend testified she feared for her life.
The defense says it's pleased with the outcome.
