A College station resident finds out three months after being sick that they actually had West Nile virus. It's first human case confirmed in Brazos County. The patient is OK and has completely recovered.
Meanwhile, another bird tested positive for the virus. This is the second since the West Nile season officially ended.
The blue jay was found Tuesday on Hondo Street in College Station.
Although it seems late in the year, the health department is still reminding residents to stay indoors at dawn and dusk, dress in long pants and long sleeved shirts, drain standing water, and use bug spray with DEET.
