Black student leaders from across the country are at Texas A&M for the seventeenth year.

The Southwestern Black Student Leadership Conference is underway. It began in 1989 as a forum for college students to address issues facing the black community.

This year Ed Gordon of 60 minutes will be speaking to the group.

The focus of the conference is to develop strong leadership skills and networking opportunities for the students.
