Bryan Police Detectives are trying to solve the first homicide of the year. A 40-year-old man died Saturday afternoon at St. Joseph Hospital from a gunshot to his stomach.
At 1:00 AM Saturday, someone called police reporting gun shots and when officers arrived on Hall Street, they found one man laying face down with a wound to his stomach.
They say Harvey Allen was shot once outside his home. He was taken to the hospital but died 12 hours after the shooting. Police say they have no suspects.
