The College Station Independent School District School Board voted 6-0 in favor of purchasing two tracts of land for the use of future school projects.
One of the lots is located in the 1000 block of Walton Drive and was purchased for $117,777.00. School officials say the plot of the land will be used as a parking lot while College Hills Elementary School is renovated.
The second tract of land covers about 43.6 acres and is located at the northwest corner at the intersection of Rock Prairie and William D. Fitch Parkway. It was purchased for $30,000.00 per acre. This land is to be used exclusively for future projects.
