The body of an A&M researcher missing since Thursday has been found. Rick Rogers, Jr was discovered off the Aransas Bay in South Texas Friday.

Rogers and an A&M graduate student were working on a project with the College of Arts and Sciences when Rogers went missing. Coast Guard officials say Rogers never returned after he dove into the bay when a strong wind blew their boat off shore. After a night-and-day search, the Coast Guard found Rogers in murky waters 100 yards from where he jumped in.

Rogers was a 2004 graduate of A&M with a degree in wildlife and fisheries sciences. He had been on the $2 million project since September.
