A Get-Out-of-Jail move didn't come free for a Brazos County inmate.

Now instead of going back to jail, the escapee will serve time in the pen.

Josh Humphries was sentenced to 15 years in prison by Judge Steve Smith.

Seven years for drug charges and eight years for escaping from the Brazos County Jail in June of last year.

Humphries told the judge Monday that he didn't know why he escaped, but continued on the run because he was scared.

Law enforcement found him in a Dallas motel with guns, a knife and over three ounces of crystal meth.

During testimony Humphries admitted to acting out against guards and threatening other inmates while in prison.

He admitted to rage problems and needing medication to control his behavior.
