A 21-year-old woman has been jailed on charges she left her six-year-old child alone while she went out.
Just after midnight Saturday, Bryan police were called by a neighbor when the child was found outside his Willow Oaks apartment. Eventually, the mother was found and placed under arrest.
Melinda Perez, 21, has been jailed for felony child abandonment charges. Bryan police say Perez left the apartment about 9:30 Saturday night.
Police and CPS are investigating, but meanwhile, the child has been left with a relative.
