Gingerbread Houses to Benefit Habitat for Humanity

If you are looking to satisfy your sweet tooth for a good cause, here is a suggestion.

Twelve Sul Ross Elementary classes have made and decorated gingerbread houses for charity.

The holiday treats are on display at First Victoria Bank in the Tejas Center.

You can stop by and vote for your favorite or participate in a silent auction.

The winning bidder will get to take the gingerbread house home, and students who made the three houses with the most votes will receive prizes.

Half of the money raised will go to Habitat for Humanity, the rest will be donated to Sul Ross Elementary.

The bank is open from 9a.m. to 4p.m. and bidding ends Thursday.

The First Victoria Bank on 29th Street in Bryan has partnered with Johnson Elementary for the same project.
