It may be New Year's Eve, but some fireworks will not be seen in the skies in parts of Robertson County.
In a unanimous vote, county officials enacted a burn ban for all unincorporated areas of the county early Monday afternoon.
Due to the dry conditions, certain fireworks will be off limits, including those described as "skyrockets with sticks" and "missiles with fins." The ban also includes the sale of these devices.
Fireworks considered small in size or class C explosives, as well as large firework devices that mainly produce visible or loud effects known as class B explosives, will be allowed.
