A kidnapping case which lasted more than seven hours, and spanned multiple counties, ends at a hotel in Bryan, Wednesday.
It all started in Montgomery County. 34-year old Kristie Anderson went to visit her estranged husband. She brought a friend with her, but according to the Sheriff, her husband John shot the friend and forced Kristie into the car. That was early in the morning. No word on where they may have stopped on the way. But eventually police caught up with the pair at the Brazos Inn at Highway 21 and Highway 6.
After a short standoff with police, John Allen Anderson surrendered just before 4pm. DPS and Montgomery County Deputies were on the scene and took John Anderson into custody. Kristie Anderson was set free.
John Anderson is jailed on charges of aggravated assault and aggravated kidnapping.
