It's a done deal, the controversial relocation of Fire Station 3 in College Station will go through.
The contract for the city to purchase property along Barron Road was approved Tuesday by a slim one vote margin. It was a heated meeting with a number of residents from around Barron Road protesting the relocation claiming it would ruin property values.
Right now the station is along the bypass near Greens Prairie Road. But, it has to be moved because of future plans to make the feeder road one-way.
