A local charity has received the miracle they were hoping for.
After $30,000 in donations were stolen last week, The Salvation Army was expecting to disappoint many area children.
But First National Bank has decided to donate $25,000 to the organization to make up the deficit.
Capt. Henry Houston says this means they will soon be back on track. If you made a check donation to the Salvation Army and believe it arrived last Friday, they are asking you to stop payment on the check and re-issue it.
The bank hopes their generous gift will inspire others to do the same.
