A Huntsville man was killed and two were injured in a two-car collision on Highway 30 Saturday night just before 10.
Brien Bernard Gilford, 20, was west-bound about two-and-a-half miles east of Bryan when he lost control of his vehicle and skidded into the east-bound lane. His 1995 Honda four-door collided with a 2002 Nissan driven by 58-year-old Caroline Stewart of Iola.
Gilford died at the scene. Stewart was last known to be in critical condition at St. Joseph with a broken sternum, arms, ribs and legs. The lone passenger in Stewart's car, Lee McCleney of Anderson, received minor injuries and was treated and released.
