Brazos County Residents to Meet About Superhighway

Brazos County residents will get their chance to weigh in on the controversial Trans-Texas Corridor proposal.

The six-lane superhighway would cost 182 billion dollars.
The goal is to relieve congestion on I-35 with a lane for commuter vehicles, one for 18-wheelers and one for high speed railroads.

Even though the plans don't include Brazos County, Tex-Dot wants feedback because the project may border I-45.

There's a meeting Monday night in Franklin at the Pridgeon Community Center.
Another meeting is scheduled for Tuesday night in Bryan at the Brazos Center.
Both meetings take place from 5:00 until 8:00 pm.
