First Witness Expected in Jackson Trial

The first prosecution witness in the Michael Jackson molestation trial is expected Tuesday after the defense finishes its opening statement.

Jackson's attorney says the detailed molestation accusations against the singer simply "didn't happen."

Tom Mesereau says the accuser's mother concocted them when she
realized her free-loading off Jackson was ending. Mesereau says
Jackson had given the family money he thought was for the boy's cancer treatments. Mesereau contends those expenses had been paid
by an insurance company.

The prosecution says Jackson showed the boy and his brother adult magazines, fed them alcohol and held them and their mother at his Neverland Ranch in early 2003.

That was allegedly to force them into praising Jackson on a video designed to restore Jackson's image after a British documentary cast him in a negative light.
