Search for Bin Laden Not Letting Up

By: Associated Press

President Bush is disputing suggestions that the administration's letting up in the hunt for Osama bin Laden.

At a ceremonial swearing-in for his new homeland security secretary, Michael Chertoff, the president said US forces are "keeping the pressure on" the elusive al-Qaida chief, and "keeping him in hiding."

Said Bush: "We're on a constant hunt."

Bush spoke after a former top official reported that US troops were pulled off that hunt to help secure last month's elections in Iraq.

Also, the head of the U-S Central Command, Army General John
Abizaid, said the military is better at attacking the al-Qaida network than looking for a specific fugitive. And Pakistan's president recently declared that bin Laden's trail has "gone cold."
