The niece of a renowned civil rights activist is speaking out against abortion.
Alveda King, niece of the late Martin Luther King Jr., was honored Tuesday night at a Coalition For Life fundraiser in Bryan.
King has served as a Georgia state representative and is a college professor. She began speaking out against abortion after having an abortion herself. She challenges people to make her uncle's dream a reality for all of God's children.
In response, Planned Parenthood said it is trying to make abortion rare by ensuring women, families, and teens have access to health care and family planning information.
