If you own rental property in College Station, you may have to change the way you deal with the city.
By October 2005, all duplex and single family rental property owners must register their properties with the city. The Council approved the new program Thursday.
Owners will have to give contact information for a person that lives within 30 minutes from College Station. The good news is it won't cost owners a thing to register.
Officials said the information will help during code enforcement and emergencies.
