A local judge is winning his fight against the system that put a mark on his record.
Brazos County District Judge Rick Davis lobbied to change the way judges are investigated and sanctioned after being reprimanded in 2002 for harsh treatment of a prosecutor.
House Bill 2365 has been filed by State Representative Joe Deshotel of Beaumont in support of Davis' plan.
When Davis went before the Commission on Judicial Conduct, he says secret evidence was used against him and he wasn't allowed to face his accusers.
If the Bill is passed, Davis hopes it will make the system more fair.
