Blinn and other Texas Community Colleges will see an increase in funding if the state Senate Finance Committee gets its way.
The committee has recommended a $177 million increase to fund all community colleges.
Just last month, thousands of community college students lobbied on the capitol steps asking for $359 million, more, in funding.
The students say the funds are needed to expand programs and help offset tuition increases.
