Brenham is moving along with its plan to annex nearly a dozen tracts of land in Washington County.
Thursday afternoon, the city council laid out a schedule for the acquisition.
Some residents are furious saying it's a financial burden with no benefit to them. The annexation would require landowners to pay city taxes and abide by city ordinances.
The city will send out notices to the landowners the end of May. The city plans to complete the annexation process in September.
