As President Bush gets ready for a second term in office, many local folks are getting ready to help him celebrate four more years.

Four years ago, the Fighting Texas Aggie Band marched at President Bush's inauguration, and they're getting ready to do it all over again. Instead of getting ready for their first day of class...members are packing up for a return trip to the nation's capital.

"It’s always an honor when a president asks you to go to their inauguration. I've never been to one. I guess its the greatest honor I could receive as a college student," says Aggie band member, Michael Applegate.

Another band member, Jerry Hunts adds, "I love the chance to head up there and get to see Washington DC, spend a few nights up there. I hope to have a great time."

Along with taking part in the parade...Ross Volunteers will perform ceremonial duties at the Black Tie & Boots Ball, which include being the honor guard for Governor Rick Perry.

"I'm amazed to be able to go, it really is just a real honor to go and serve my president," says Ross Volunteer, Matthew Russell.

Messina Hof winery will also be a part of the historic event. Their wine will be the drink of choice at all of the inaugural parties. They are also the ONLY winery able to have the presidential seal on their bottles.

Amber Bagwell, with Messina Hof says, "It’s an extraordinary honor; we're really proud to be involved with black tie and boots inaugural ball; pleased about it and excited."

Some of the Brazos Valley's finest are also heading to DC. Deputies, troopers and police officers will provide extra security for the President during the event.
