Bryan Police are still trying to figure out why an elderly man was traveling the wrong way on Highway 6 Saturday morning.
The 9-1-1 dispatcher was getting numerous calls about a wrong-way driver about 10:30am.
A tan Chevrolet pick-up was traveling north in the south bound lanes, forcing at least one car off the road.
One woman was hurt when her car flipped as she got out of the way.
The pick-up finally came to a rest near the Tabor Road intersection when the driver went over the guardrail.
The 72 year-old driver has been identified as Al Ketchey of Alvin.
Police say he was in extremely critical condition and was airlifted to Herman Hospital in Houston.
