Construction on a visitor center in Bryan will have to wait because all contractor bids came in over budget.
Bryan city council members voted Tuesday to reject all bids for the proposed center. City officials said the architect is changing design plans to eliminate some of the costly parts of the project.
Bryan has a budget of $400,000. TxDot is looking to house a museum in the building so it is willing to give Bryan 80% of the money needed.
Officials expect to reopen bidding in a little over a month.
