It will be next week before College Station residents know if they'll get to vote on a tax freeze for seniors.
A petition to place the measure on a ballot has been turned in to the city secretary who's now verifying the signatures. If approved, a property tax freeze for senior and disabled residents will be on the May ballot.
The petition contained more than 1,700 names. The required number of valid signatures is 1,312.
