A Florida state appeals court has refused to block the removal of a brain-damaged woman's feeding tube later this week.
It's the latest move in a long-running right-to-die battle between Terri Schiavo's husband and her parents.
The Second District Court of Appeal turned down a request from Schiavo's parents for a delay while they pursue further appeals, and for a new trial on their daughter's fate.
The tube is scheduled to be removed Friday afternoon.
Schiavo suffered severe brain damage in 1990 when her heart
stopped beating. Court-appointed doctors say she is in a persistent
vegetative state.
Her husband said she told him she would not want to be kept alive artificially. Her parents dispute that, and say she could get better.
