Five men and one woman are behind bars after police say they kicked down the door to a Washington County home and kidnapped a 15-year-old girl.
Authorities say they were armed with baseball bats when they charged into the home and forcibly removed the girl. Ashley Williams and Chris Moore, both from Bryan, have been charged with aggravated kidnapping.
Clarence Williams and two juveniles are also charged with aggravated kidnapping. Terrance Williams faces a charge of burglary with intent to commit assault.
On March 18, deputies say they were called to the scene of a reported burglary. There, they were told the group had broken into a house on FM 1370 and taken the girl. She was later returned to the scene, but police say she had been physically assaulted.
The four adults are now in Washington County Jail. The two juveniles are in the Bryan detention center. Officials say the case is still under investigation.
