Man Pleads Not Guilty in Letterman Case

By: Associated Press

The man who's charged in an alleged plot to kidnap the young son of TV talk show host David Letterman entered pleas of innocent in a Montana courtroom Tuesday.

Kelly Frank was arraigned on charges including solicitation, in connection with what authorities say was a plan to kidnap Letterman's son, Harry, and the boy's nanny. He allegedly planned to hold them for $5 million ransom.

Authorities say Frank was planning the kidnapping for when Letterman and his family next visited their ranch in Montana. Frank is a painter who has worked at the ranch.

On Monday night's show, Letterman thanked Montana authorities for
helping to uncover the alleged plot.
