Investigators believe a fire at a Navasota motel may have been intentionally set.
Navasota Fire Marshal, Joey Porter said circumstances surrounding the weekend fire were suspicious.
There are no suspects at this time.
The Best Value Inn and Suites off Highway 6 caught fire early Sunday morning on a second floor hallway where old mattresses were temporarily being stored.
The fire caused an estimated $1.5 million in damage to the newly renovated motel.
