Transportation Summit Begins

Transportation issues will be on the table for the next two days at meeting with local leaders.

Congressman Chet Edwards will be speaking Thursday and Brazos Valley leaders will have their own round table to discuss local transportation issues at a Brazos Valley Transportation summit.

U-S lawmakers recently earmarked 11 million dollars for Brazos County transportation needs over the next six years.

Current plans include a high-speed rail line and the construction of I-69, which would run from Mexico to Canada.
