College Station Stabbing Leaves One Dead

A stabbing in College Station leaves one dead and a suspect in custody.

College Station police were called to the Med just before 7 this morning in reference to a stabbing. The incident took place around 6:45 AM at the Golden West Apartments off of Longmire.

According to a neighbor who declined to appear on-camera, 23-year-old Patience Cooks showed up at 6:35 AM and asked the neighbor if a resident in the upstairs apartment was home. She was told he was, and Cooks proceeded upstairs. Lorenzo Allen, 25, was visiting that resident at the time. A few minutes after she arrived, Cooks allegedly stabbed Allen once in the chest. Allen later died at the Med.

Cooks was taken into custody and charged with murder. Both Cooks and Allen lived in the 3600 block of Wellborn in Bryan.

The case remains under investigation.
