The City of Bryan's Fire Department is inviting residents to eat chili and donate blood Friday in honor of a Bryan firefighter battling cancer.
The fundraising benefit will raise money for veteran Bryan firefighter Steve Scrivener.
The proceeds of the benefit will be donated to Scrivener to help him offset medical bills.

The chili lunch will take place form 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at Bryan's Central Fire Station on William Joel Bryan Avenue. Bowls of chili will be $5.
You can email your order ahead of time at email@example.com or just stop by Friday and pick a bowl up to go.
