Initial reports indicate a heating unit is to blame for a Friday afternoon apartment fire in College Station. The blaze broke out around 4:15 p.m. at the Tower Park apartments on Holleman.
It took College Station firefighters about ten minutes to put out the flames, but it took them longer to put out hot spots.
Officials say there was damage to two apartments, but residents from eight apartments were displaced overnight because they had to cut electricity to the entire building.
Fire officials believe the fire started in the heating unit, but the Fire Marshal's Office is investigating.
