Picking Up the Trash

By: Amanda Humes

A Huntsville mission could save a thousand dollars, if the city will help with its trash.

The Good Shepherd Mission is a non-profit agency which helps homeless and needy people. It relies heavily on donations of goods and money.

However, junk and unusable items keep ending in the collection bins and the mission has no place to put it.

The mission is asking the city to increase trash pick up and wave some of the trash collection fees.

The council is expected to approve the agreement at its next meeting. And the Mission says their vote could save them about $10,000.
