Bryan is looking for a few good causes to spend $1.5 million of federal grant money.
The money is supposed to target non profit agencies that help lower income residents.
Thursday the community development advisory committee discussed allocating over 400 thousand dollars to improve housing.
Part of that money will go to help residents with a down payment on a home.
The Brazos Food Bank asked for money to pay for building improvements, and Bryan's Code Enforcement Office wants to add another position.
The money will be available next fiscal year but the city council must also approve the allocations.
