Two men with long rap sheets are in custody after being charged with robbing customers outside the Bryan Wal-Mart and Walgreens with a stolen gun.
Ted Gongora, 21, and Jesus Contreras, 27, were arrested in a parking lot on Villa Maria just after midnight after the pair allegedly took $28 worth of items from two men sitting in a car outside Walgreens. Police say minutes earlier, the two Bryan residents had also robbed customers in the Wal-Mart parking lot.
Both are charged with three counts of aggravated robbery, a first degree felony. They also face charges of unlawful carrying of a weapon and theft of a weapon.
Gongora has been arrested locally a dozen times previously. Police have picked up Contreras 14 times in the past.
