Turner vs. Davis

Fallout from an old feud between two Brazos County elected officials could change the lineup of a pending murder trial.

In the motion dated April 4, Turner claims, "[Davis'] continuous attacks clearly demonstrate his incapacity to sit impartially in a case in which I participate and demonstrate his bias against me."

Turner says the animosity between the two grew out of a complaint he lodged against Davis in 2001, which resulted in a public reprimand against the judge.

Turner cites a Web site of Davis as proof the judge is still holding a grudge. Judge Davis could not be reached for comment.

The case Davis is scheduled to hear is the murder trial of Chad Davis who's accused of killing Brazos County resident Tommy Andrade in a home invasion.
