An Austin Lutheran College may pull up roots and come to the Brazos Valley.
Concordia University is considering making the move to Giddings. The college has been on the same land in the Capital city since 1926.
The board will vote May 13 on whether or not the the University needs to be moved in order to stay true to its mission. Right now, the school houses 300 hundred students, but about 12 hundred are enrolled. The president says they are expecting even more next semester.
If the board votes yes, the location consideration will begin.
Besides Giddings the board has also expressed interest in buying property in Round Rock.
