A former Bryan resident convicted of murder has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Georgina Blake was found guilty Monday of fatally shooting 44-year-old Rodney Parker while he was sleeping in his home last January.
Investigators noticed Blake, 19, driving slowly near Parker's home on the day of his murder.
When officers tried to stop her, she fled, eventually abandoning her SUV with her 2-year-old child still inside.
Blake could have been sentenced to life in prison.
