By: Lindsay Liepman

Lawyers in the civil law suit against Robertson County Officials met in court Thursday for their first crack at the case.

Defendants include District Attorney John Paschall, the county and several members of a drug task force accused of targeting innocent black residents of Hearne.

Nine of those arrested during the raid say the task force officers fabricated evidence against them and the District Attorney knew it.

The ACLU is representing the residents.

Today's pretrial hearing was procedural and no major decisions were made.

The trial begins at the Federal District Court in Waco on May 9th.
