Cadets March to the Brazos

Around 1,700 Texas A&M cadets took a casual stroll down down Highway 60 Saturday.

The 29th annual March to the Brazos got underway early in the morning despite the rainy, windy conditions. The trek took the students from campus all the way to the Brazos River for a day of activities and ceremonies.

Not only is leadership for the corps handed over to the next class, but the March is also a fundraiser for the March of Dimes. Over $140,000 was raised this year, and over the 29 years of the event, more than $1.5 million has been given to March of Dimes.

The total length of the cadets' round-trip march: 14 miles.
