Law enforcement have few leads, but they are exhausting them in their search for 58-year-old Euna Berger, missing since Thursday.

The Bryan native, who has a history of depression, was last known to be driving a blue 2005 Chevrolet Equinox. Bryan PD, Brazos and Grimes County Sheriffs and DPS are working together on the search.

"Most important thing is to have some coordinated effort and to make sure we're all flowing in the same direction and we're not duplicating work," said Walt Melnyk of Bryan Police.

Berger's last known whereabouts were on Thursday at around 3 PM when she placed a cell phone call to her mother. The signal was picked up on a tower between Carlos and Keith. Berger said she was disoriented because she had taken too much medication, but she was able to figure out she was driving on Highway 30.

"We just really want to make sure that they're OK," said Melnyk. "We're not trying to inhibit them or say that they have to be somewhere, because they don't. And if Ms. Berger doesn't want to be brought home or doesn't want to come home, that's her option, but as long as we can find out and make sure that she's safe, then we're OK."

Berger's family has even taken the search into their own hands, with the help of Texas Equusearch, a private group headed up by Tim Miller. Monday afternoon, he and a volunteer pilot scoured the area by air in hopes of finding any sign of Berger.

"We can do a lot better than a car can do," said Jim Farris, the pilot. "We can make a lot more territory. We can see a lot better up there, especially on a day like today."

"We're going to start off from where she was actually last seen or last heard from, and then move on from there," said Miller. "There's a lot of area to cover. It's a small vehicle, and a lot of country to cover."

And everyone involved hopes one of many avenues will lead them to Berger.
