The prosecution began presenting its case Wednesday in the trial of a former College Station resident accused of pulling a gun on a sheriff.
Dwight Rabe, 53, is charged with aggravated assault on a peace officer. The first-degree felony carries a punishment of 5-to-life in prison.
Authorities say Rabe was involved in a standoff with Robertson County Sheriff Gerald Yezak in March of 2007. It ended when officers stormed the Franklin home and arrested Rabe.
