Family and friends gathered Thursday to remember longtime Bryan firefighter Steve Scrivener.
Scrivener died from Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma early Monday Morning. He was hospitalized after having an adverse reaction to chemotherapy and contracting pneumonia.
A funeral procession left from Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota and arrived at Bryan United Pentecostal Church, where the funeral was held.
Following the funeral, Scrivener's fellow firefighters lined up to say good-bye. His body was placed on a fire engine for his final ride. He will be buried in Navasota.
Scrivener served as a firefighter for more than 28 years.
The Scrivener family asks that all memorial donations be made to Hospice of Brazos Valley, attention Jeannette Barnes.
