A pair accused of drag racing and causing a major accident was indicted Thursday by a Brazos County grand jury.
Silvano Herrera, 33, of Bryan and College Station resident Pablo Castillo, 31, were each indicted on two felony counts of injuring someone while racing.
The two men are accused of driving drunk and racing on Highway 21, causing an accident that seriously injured a 12-year-old, who required surgery to her face and jaw.
The wreck happened near Pleasant Hill Road about 10:30 p.m. on September 8, 2007 after the men left a rodeo, according to court documents.
The trooper on the scene said they smelled of alcohol, had slow speech and glassy eyes.
