It's been called one of the worst local cases of child neglect. Now, a Bryan mother has been arrested.
Ashanti Love turned herself into authorities Friday morning and was charged with two counts of child endangerment. She was released from jail on a $14,000 bond.
Love is accused of leaving her twin toddlers home alone on West Villa Maria last month.
Neighbors found the two-year-olds crawling out of a broken window. According to police, the kids were locked in a bedroom with no heat in the house, other than an open oven set to 500 degrees.
The children were last reported to be staying with family.
